Anna University fifth among govt universities in India

CHENNAI: Anna University got the fifth rank in EducationWorld India Government Universities Rankings 2020-21. IISc Bangalore was ranked as the top university in the country among 150 reputed government universities.
Anna University has performed well in competence of faculty (141 out of 150) and research and innovations (282 out of 300) and range of diversity of programmes offered (89 out of 100).But the university has got least points for curriculum and pedagogy (68 out of 100). Totally, it has got 1127 points out of 1300.
"We will focus more on improving our curriculum and pedagogy where we got lesser points. We also want to intensify our interactions with industry by way of internships and research collaborations," said professor M K Surappa, vice-chancellor.
EW India along with C fore conducted the survey among final year students and industry representatives. The data also culled from papers published by faculty in peer reviewed journals.
