CHENNAI: Anna University and its four campuses will remain closed during the intense lockdown from June 19 to 30 to contain Covid-19 spread in Chennai and its neighbouring districts.
As per the circular, the four campuses -- College of Engineering, Madras Institute of Technology, Alagappa College of Technology and School of Architecture and Planning -- and constituent colleges in containment zones will remain closed.

However, the university asked the faculty members to continue their online courses and to send notes to the students during their stay at home.
Research scholars can work from home during the lockdown period and technical and non-technical staff are requested to be available for any clarifications or any urgent university-related work.
The university was working with fifty percent staff strength as per the guidelines given by the government.
