Met department forecasts chilly nights in Chennai

CHENNAI: The city will experience chilly nights and misty mornings in the next few days.
A forecast by the Met department said, "The sky condition is likely to be mainly clear. Mist is likely to occur in some areas during early morning hours. Maximum temperature will be 31 degree Celsius and minimum temperature is likely to be around 20 degree Celsius."
Private weather bloggers have said that a high pressure is the reason for cold nights."There is no cloud cover to trap the heat. So the heat escapes from the atmosphere resulting in colder nights, " said Pradeep John, a weather blogger.
