CAA protests: Services resume on six closed Delhi Metro stations

Delhi Metro stations that were closed in view of protests reopened on Monday evening. Normal services have resumed across the metro network. Earlier in the day entry and exit gates at six metro stations in central Delhi were closed in view of protests at India Gate and Jantar Mantar against the police crackdown on Jamia Millia Islamia and AMU students and the Citizenship Amendment Act.

Jamia Millia Islamia metro station's entry and exit gates were closed on Monday following protest by students against Sunday's police action.
NEW DELHI: Delhi Metro stations that were closed in view of protests reopened on Monday evening. Normal services have resumed across the metro network.
Earlier in the day entry and exit gates at six metro stations in central Delhi were closed in view of protests at India Gate and Jantar Mantar against the police crackdown on Jamia Millia Islamia and AMU students and the Citizenship Amendment Act.


Entry and exit gates of Lok Kalyan Marg and Janpath were also closed in view of the protest.
While Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra was sitting on a protest at India Gate in solidarity with the Jamia and AMU students, Delhi University students were agitating at Jantar Mantar.
