Fire at basement of a Delhi hotel
Around 15 people were admitted to the hospital, out of which 12 people have been discharged now
NEW DELHI: There was panic at The Park Hotel in Lutyens' Delhi after a fire broke out at the basement of the hotel and smoke spread to the rooms. At least 15 guests had to be evacuated and admitted to hospital after they complained of suffocation.
Cops however said there was a major lapse on the part of the hotel as they did not inform the police or fire department about the incident, even though the fire was doused by the hotel staffers.

The hotel even then didn't inform the rescue agencies. Nine injured persons were shifted to Ganga Ram Hospital in the hotel vehicles, out of whom seven were discharged after first aid. It was the doctors who informed the local police post that informed fire services at 11:45am.
An enquiry has been initiated.
