‘Goa Suraksha Manch workers are ready to volunteer’

Goa Suraksha Manch (GSM) president Subhash Velingkar on Wednesday put the onus on the state government to ensure that essential commodities reach every citizen in need during the lockdown. He also extended the services of his party workers for any voluntary service required. “The state should conduct a survey to make sure that essential commodities reach all citizens across Goa,” Velingkar said.

PANAJI: Goa Suraksha Manch (GSM) president Subhash Velingkar on Wednesday put the onus on the state government to ensure that essential commodities reach every citizen in need during the lockdown. He also extended the services of his party workers for any voluntary service required. “The state should conduct a survey to make sure that essential commodities reach all citizens across Goa,” Velingkar said.
He further said, “Some antisocial elements are trying to obstruct implementation of the lockdown.
The government should take strict measures against them.” In view of social distancing advised to control the spread of Covid-19, GSM’s core committee held its meeting on Tuesday via video conferencing. tnn
