In yet another drug haul, the crime investigation agency (CIA)-1 of the Ambala police has arrested a man and recovered 10,100 narcotic tablets from his possession.

AMBALA: In yet another drug haul, the crime investigation agency (CIA)-1 of the Ambala police has arrested a man and recovered 10,100 narcotic tablets from his possession. The accused was held under the limits of Baldev Nagar police station on Thursday evening.
He has been identified Gurdeep Singh alias Pappal of Subhash Nagar in Ambala City. A case against him under Section 21 (punishment for contravention in relation to manufactured drugs and preparations) of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act has been registered at Baldev Nagar police station.

Sleuths of the CIA-1 had received a tip-off and acting accordingly, they laid a trap near motor market in Baldev Nagar and managed to nab the accused.
In another case, Nitin alias Rajat of Hira Nagar in Ambala City has been arrested by the CIA-1 and he has been booked under the NDPS Act after 8gm smack was recovered from his possession on Thursday.
" The accused was wanted in another NDPS case registered against him at Ambala Sadar police station and he will be presented before a l;ocal court on Friday," inspector Kewal Singh, SHO of CIA-1 Ambala, said.
