HYDERABAD: The Congress has accused chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao led-TRS government of being anti-Dalit.
"The atrocities against Dalits have increased in TRS rule. Right from the police torture of the Dalits in Siricilla to the suicide of a Dalit farmer in Gajwel assembly constituency, atrocities on Dalits have only increased,” alleged Congress Legislature Party Leader Bhatti Vikramarka.
He demanded that CM KCR should stop the AP government from going ahead with the tender finalisation process of Pothireddypadu and Rayalaseema lift irrigation scheme.

“I have never seen a chief minister who betrays his own State and acts in favour of another state. I am surprised by the decision of CM KCR not to attend the apex council meeting, and has sought postponement of it. The apex council meeting has been convened virtually by the Central government to resolve river water disputes between Telangana and AP states,” Bhatti said.
On atrocities against Dalits, the CLP leader said the Congress has taken the issue to the notice of the DGP but no action has been taken based on our representation. “The attacks on the Dalits have increased after feudal-TRS came to power in Telangana,” Bhatti alleged.
Stating that the KCR-government has also failed to check the spread of coronavirus in the State, Bhatti said covid-19 is spreading from towns to villages at alarming levels but the KCR-government is focusing on demolition and construction of buildings. “I have never seen such a government which focuses on the construction and demolition of secretariat or other buildings even as lives are being lost due to coronavirus,” he said.
The Congress leader demanded that quarantine centres should be set up in villages too. In Greater Hyderabad, the government should take control of private hotels and other suitable places and transform them into quarantine centres.
