HYDERABAD: The Congress on Saturday said the TRS government should first fill up 1.5 lakh vacancies in the government sector and also start giving Rs 3,016 per month unemployment allowance to over 20 lakh jobless youth before seeking votes for the ensuing elections to the two Graduate MLC constituencies.
All India Congress Committee secretary and former MLA Ch Vamshi Chand Reddy has demanded that the government should clear the pending fee reimbursement dues and also announce a financial package for teachers and lecturers of private educational institutions who either lost their jobs or have not been paid salaries citing lockdown as the reason.

“It is time that the government employees, students, the unemployed, teachers and those who lost their jobs teach a lesson to the TRS in the polls to the two Graduate constituencies of Hyderabad-Ranga Reddy-Mahbubnagar and Nalgonda-Warangal-Khammam,” Vamshi said.
On one hand, the state government has not implemented the new pay revision commission scales for the last two years and has not even given interim relief, on the other hand it has come out with Layout Regularisation Scheme (LRS) with higher fee (penalty charges) when people were suffering with financial problems due to Covid-19 pandemic situation, he said.
“Notifications for group-I II and III category of posts have not been given. Over 30,000 teacher posts have been lying vacant. Several schools have closed down,” he alleged.
