Rajasthan: Bungalow remains with Vasundhara Raje

he state has government on Monday informed the Rajasthan High court that former chief minister Vasundhara Raje will continue to occupy bungalow number 13 in the Civil Lines, Jaipur, while the bungalow no-5 has been vacated by former chief minister Jagannath Pahadia. Raje and Pahadia have already returned the vehicles allotted to them along with the services of drivers.

JAIPUR: The state has government on Monday informed the Rajasthan High court that former chief minister Vasundhara Raje will continue to occupy bungalow number 13 in the Civil Lines, Jaipur, while the bungalow no-5 has been vacated by former chief minister Jagannath Pahadia. Raje and Pahadia have already returned the vehicles allotted to them along with the services of drivers.
The information was given by the state government facing a contempt notice in connecting to the petition challenging allotment of government bungalow to the former chief ministers and facilities given to them.

The previous Raje-government’s law on allowing free lifelong facilities to ex-CMs was struck down by HC and then upheld by the SC. “It is humbly submitted that Raje continues to occupy the Bungalow no 13 since she being entitled for it as a member of legislative assembly,” the reply filed in the court said.
The bench comprising Justice Sabina and Justice NS Dhadha has given April 20 as the next date of hearing.
