Total bandh in Jhansi during Janata Curfew

Jhansi: An unprecedented calm prevailed in the city for the entire day because of self-isolation by the denizens on the appeal of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
At 5.00 pm people came out on terrace and balconies to clap as a gesture of thanks to all those unsung heroes who are fighting day and night to fight against coronavirus.
A strict vigil was maintained at bus stands and all the major crossings while police vehicles took round requesting people to stay inside.
At railway station, all the passengers arriving in the city had to undergo therma screening. Senior administrative officials including commissioner Jhansi division Shubhash Chandra Sharma and IG Jhansi range Shubhash Singh Baghel took rounds monitoring the entire city. During the day Nagar Nigam workers spryaed sanitiser in various localities of the city. Talking to TOI, Jhansi DM Andra Vamsi said, “Let us fight Covid-19 collectively by social distancing ourselves and maintain the same momentum till April 2”.
