UP: DIG STF shifted after letter of slain DSP goes viral, SSP Varanasi also reshuffled

LUCKNOW: A day after letter of slain deputy superintendent of police Devendra Mishra to the then SSP Kanpur Nagar went viral, DIG STF Anant Deo Tiwari was removed and made DIG PAC of Moradabad sector late on Tuesday night.
Whereas, Sudhir Kumar Singh was posted as SSP STF. Singh was also removed as SSP Ghaziabad this January after allegations of graft levelled by the then SSP GB Nagar Vaibhav Krishna for which an SIT was also formed and probe was ordered by the UP CM.Singh was then removed to PAC Agra.
On the other hand, SSP Varanasi-Prabhakar Chaudhary was also shifted and made the new SSP Moradabad.
Sources claimed that Chaudhary had three days back sent Bhartiya Janata Party’s zila panchayat member and his brother behind the bars following an altercation with them in Sundarpur area.
It had later cost dearly to the cops, as four of them including inspector Lanka were suspended while CO Bhelupur was attached to police office on Sunday on the charges of exaggerating the issue.
SSP Mordabad Amit Pathak has been made the new SSP Varanasi.
