All parties fail to implement statute: Mayawati

LUCKNOW: BSP chief Mayawati attacked the Congress and BJP for failing to understand and implement the Indian Constitution in letter and spirit.
In a message to people on the eve of Republic Day, the BSP chief said: “Every single person in the country would benefit if provisions in the Constitution are implemented in letter and spirit. However subsequent governments have failed on the count.”
Targeting the Congress and BJP governments, she said: “It is well known that Congress party has played with the spirit of the Constitution several times during its long rule.For that, it has been punished by the electorate. Likewise, public resentment against BJP also speaks for its failure to understand the Constitution.”
