Government homes: Allahabad high court notice to four UP MLAs
Allahabad high court
LUCKNOW: The Allahabad high court on Friday issued notices to MLAs Shivpal Yadav, Ashish Patel, Pankaj Singh and Neeraj Vohra seeking their response on a PIL seeking cancellation of government bungalows allotted to them allegedly in violation of rules.
The court also directed the UP estate department to file its reply on the PIL. The matter will be heard after two weeks.
A bench of Justice Pankaj Kumar Jaiswal and Justice Rajnish Kumar passed the order on the PIL filed by Motilal Yadav. The petitioner alleged that MLAs were not entitled to type 6 category bungalows as per the allotment rules (2016) but the state government allotted accommodation to them in an arbitrary manner.
