A classified input by the Intelligence Bureau (IB) about two terror suspects from southern India prompted Uttar Pradesh Police to launch a massive manhunt on Saturday.

LUCKNOW: A classified input by the Intelligence Bureau (IB) about two terror suspects from southern India prompted Uttar Pradesh Police to launch a massive manhunt on Saturday.
The alert stated that the two suspects - Khwaja Moinudeen and Abdul Samad - were supposed to go to Nepal and they possibly crossed over to UP.
Senior police officers of Basti, Maharajganj, Bahraich districts were alerted following which the manhunt was launched.

IG (Basti range) Ashutosh Kumar, told TOI that they got the inputs from IB about Samad and Moinuddin who were last spotted in Siliguri in West Bengal on December 16.
"Their possible cross over through Indo-Nepal border was being checked," he said.
The officer said photographs of the suspects were distributed to local intelligence units.
