MANGALURU: In an attempt to prevent any untoward incident in the wake of Ayodhya Ram Mandir Bhoomi Pujan event, city police commissioner Vikash Kumar Vikash has imposed prohibitory orders under CRPC Section 144.
The prohibitory orders will be in place from 8pm on August 4 to 6am on August 6. The city is known to be communally sensitive and prohibitory orders have been imposed as a precautionary measure, the commissioner said.
As per the order, assembling of more than five people, bursting of crackers or carrying out rallies in any form has been prohibited.
