MUMBAI: The Maharashtra Police, in a statement on Monday, said all courtesies befitting to an IPS officer duly extended to
Bihar SP Vinay Tiwari who is in Mumbai for probing the death of Bollywood actor
Sushant Singh Rajput.
"Senior Superintendent of Police, Patna, Upendra Kumar Sharma had made a request to the inspector general (headquarters) at the director general of police (DGP) office, Maharashtra, for an accommodation and a vehicle for superintendent of police, Patna, Vinay Tiwari who had to visit Mumbai for investigation.
Accordingly, arrangements were made for his accommodation at the Senior Officers' mess, State Reserve Police Force, GRP VIII, Goregaon, and a vehicle (Maruti Ertiga MH-01-CP-1343) was arranged for Tiwari," reads the statement.
It added that all courtesies befitting to an IPS officer had been duly extended to Tiwari. The Maharashtra Police Officers (MPO), Worli, was presently inoperational due to Covid.
The
Bihar police have been alleging that
the Mumbai Police haven't been cooperating with them in the probe and that their IPS officer (Tiwari) was treated badly.
