MUMBAI: Maharashtra public health minister Rajesh Tope said that the total number of Covid-19 cases in the state has reached to 107, out of which, two patients have been admitted in the ICU, while others are reported to be stable condition.
Of the 10 new positive cases in the last 12 hours, five are from Mumbai, 3 from Pune and one each from Satara and Ahmednagar.
Tope, who opted to address the state via social media instead of directly interacting with the press has appealed to make a resolution on the eve of Marathi new year, Gudhi Padwa, to defeat Coronavirus by staying at home.

The minister said that there are 107 cases of Covid-19 in the state and three have died. He added that 12 patients who had tested positive for coronavirus have recovered and got discharged from various hospitals. "So, it is a positive sign that people are recovering from the disease. 12 patients have recovered so far and 15 are likely to be discharged soon,” said Tope.
Considering lockdown, minister pointed out that private practitioners should not keep their clinics closed and private hospitals should run their OPD as usual as people may need other health services. "Private clinics are being exempted from the curfew. Doctors should continue practicing in their clinics and treat patients", he said.
