Mysuru artists Yoganand L and Hari Prasad are leaving no stone unturned to educate common people about the need to stay at home to contain the spread of
coronavirus. A day after Janata Curfew, it was business as usual in the heritage city, which prompted the artist duo to raise more awareness about
social distancing. Equipped with masks and their specially-designed installations, both Yoganand and Hari visited several localities in the city — including Devaraja Market, Nanju Malige Circle, KR Circle and Devaraj Urs Road — appealing common masses to stay indoors.
Yoganand says, “We had initially started the
campaign on March 18. At that time, not many people were aware of extremity of this deadly virus. Even though the knowledge and awareness has increased now, many are still too stubborn to acknowledge the gravity of the situation, and that is why things are slowly going out of control every passing day. We want to tell people the urgent necessity to remain indoors.”
