NAGPUR: Addressing a rally at Reshimbagh on Saturday, Bhim Army chief Chandrashekhar Azad Ravan called for a ban on the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS).
The permission for the rally close to the RSS campus was given on the condition that it would not be a political meeting
Naming RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat, Ravan challenged him for a debate over reservation as he announced a call for bandh on February 23.
He also challenged the RSS to fight elections instead of having a front.
Ravan said, there will come a time when India will have a government of ‘bahujans’ and the others will be given reservations.
Earlier, the police had denied permission to the Bhim Army for a rally at Reshimbagh citing risk of law and order. The denial was challenged in court and the HC ordered that Bhim Army can hold a workers meet but no protest and no inflammatory speeches should be made.
