NAGPUR: Apurva Joshi, a chemical engineer working in Pune, lodged a complaint against Australia resident Swayam Joshi, his mother Archana and sister Sejal for cheating and torturing her mentally and physically, leading to financial loss of Rs25 lakhs.
It’s learnt that Apurva came to know about Swayam through a matrimonial site. After the families met, Apurva and Swayam entered into wedlock in January.

She joined Swayam in Australia in February, and in June, returned alone.
In her complaint, she mentioned that Swayam’s profile said he was studying and also earning in Australia. In reality, she claimed, Swayam was not earning anything, and that he made her cough up a substantial amount and made demands of other valuables.
