Music lovers relish popular Hindi songs

Nagpur: It was time for music lovers to relish popular Hindi songs at a programme titled ‘Kabhi hoti nahin jiski haar, woh toh hai pyar’, organized jointly by Rajnigandha and District Bar Association at Dr Vasantrao Deshpande Hall on Saturday.
Eighteen singers presented 32 romantic and entertaining songs much to the delight of the audience.
‘Ab mujhe raat din tumhara hi’ was the first song presented by Abhimanyu Samarth, followed by ‘Neele neele ambar par’ by Praveen Manpe, which received repeated applause.
‘Aaja aaja main hoon pyar tera’, an entertaining number, was sung by Vinod Khobre and Kiran Barapatre. ‘Saathiya tune kya kiya’ was yet another duet presented by Prakash Jaiswal and Simran Naidu.
Singers Priya Gupta, Deepak Sutavne, Pramod Pekde, Prashant Mankar, MV Pardhe, Jitendra Rajkumar, Girish Sharma, Dinkar Pande, Deepak Tambekar, Chintan Deopujari, JM Gandhi and Parinita Maturkar kept music lovers engrossed.
Hits like ‘Dekha na hai re socha na’, ‘Arey deewano mujhe pehchano’, ‘Chahe koi mujhe junglee kahe’, ‘O mere sona re sona’, ‘Sara zamana haseeno ka deewana’ and other songs were presented energetically.
Romantic songs ‘Tum mile dil khile’, ‘Pyar karne wale’, ‘Chalo ek baar firse ajnabi baan jaye hum dono’, ‘Chahunga main tujhe saanjh savere’, ‘Yeh mera dil pyar ka deewana’, ‘Sochenge tumhe pyar’ and ‘Jab mohabbat jawan hoti hai’ were relaxing.
District and sessions judge VB Kulkarni, commissioner of police Bhushan Kumar Upadhyay, president of DBA Kamal Satuja, secretary Nitin Deshmukh, senior police officer Raghvendra Kshirsagar and Rajesh and Rani Rokde were the guests of honour. Members of DBA were present.
Anchor Manoj Salpekar kept the audience engaged by narrating the anecdotes behind songs and making of movies.
The programme was conceptualized by Parinita Maturkar and Simran Naidu, in coordination with Tushar Vighne, who also looked after music arrangement.
