Bisrakh cops accused of staging fake encounter
Greater Noida: The family of a 30-year-old man has accused Bisrakh police of staging a fake encounter and implicating him in a snatching case.
The uncle of Manish Jatav, a native of Sihani Gate, alleged that his nephew was picked up by Bisrakh police officers, who visited Ghaziabad in plain clothes, from a local eatery on August 6 and booked under Sections of the Arms Act and Sections 307 (attempt to murder) and 392 (robbery) of the IPC.

He added that Jatav was also shot in the leg on August 7 when he allegedly tried to escape from the police vehicle.
“He was not given any summons and my nephew also doesn’t have any criminal record. They are framing him in a mobile snatching case that took place on July 20. He is in judicial custody now and the police are also not letting us met him,” Tinku said, adding that they got to know from neighbours that he was picked up by the cops.
He added that police doesn’t even have any evidence against him. “We submitted a complaint to the police commissioner’s officer seeking reinvestigation of the matter. We will also challenge the police’s claims in the court,” he said.
Meanwhile, refuting the allegations, Bisrakh station house officer Muneesh Chauhan said Jatav was arrested after a face off at Sadullapur T point. “He was injured in a cross firing and two of his accomplices had fled. We also recovered a country-made pistol, a stolen gold chain and Rs 22,500 from him,” the SHO said.
