PATNA: Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) state president and Samastipur MP Prince Raj on Monday said the party’s prospective ticket aspirants have been asked to make 25,000 primary members in the assembly constituency of their choice from among the 119 seats that have no MLAs from the NDA. They will also have to constitute booth level committees.
Prince said a decision in this regard was taken at the first meeting of the state parliamentary board here.
Party’s MLA Raju Tiwary was among the other participants. The deadline to accomplish the twin tasks is March this year. Prince also released the list of the members of the newly constituted state executive committee.
Prince said the membership exercise would generate competitive feeling among the ticket aspirants, who have also been asked to identify the burning problems specific to the constituencies that needed to be addressed.
“The party’s functionaries will assess the ticket aspirants’ performance and then shortlist two, three or four most prospective candidates for the final selection,” he said.
