Nitish launches series of new projects of Bihar School Examination Board

CM Nitish Kumar on Monday launched a series of new projects of the Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB), total worth Rs 186.74 crore, during a government programme at the Adhiveshan Bhawan here.

PATNA: Bihar CM Nitish Kumar on Monday launched a series of new projects of the Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB), total worth Rs 186.74 crore, during a government programme at the Adhiveshan Bhawan here.
The projects include altogether nine examination hall-cum-administrative buildings. One such examination hall-cum-administrative building has been built in each divisional headquarters e.g. Patna, Munger, Gaya, Purnia, Saharsa, Chhapra, Bhagalpur, Muzaffarpur and Darbhanga.
The total sum of Rs 163.55 crore was spent on construction of these nine buildings, the BSEB chairman Anand Kishor said.
Each examination hall-cum-administrative building has seating capacity of 4,000 to 5,000 examinees at a time. Examination halls are equipped with CCTV cameras and webcasting system. The all nine examination halls are directly linked to the Board headquarters and the DM’s control room for monitoring during examinations.
Kishor said, enough space for storage of answer-sheets have also been made in the examination halls. These halls could also be utilized as evaluation centres.
The CM also inaugurated a new administrative building at the Board headquarters in Patna. The administrative building was constructed at the cost Rs 10.73 crore.
The CM also inaugurated the Board’s Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, which costs Rs 4.49 crore.
Nitish Kumar further inaugurated the board’s newly built Data Centre. The data centre is built at the cost of Rs 7.97 crore.
The CM also launched ‘BSEB Mobile App’ on the occasion. The App would be used by matric and intermediate examinees as well as teachers. He also launched ‘BSEB Quiz’ in which students of all government-run school from all 38 districts of the state can participate.
Nitish also launched the round-II of the “BSEB Olympiad” on the occasion.
