Rajkot: Two murder cases were reported from Pardi village of Lodhika taluka in Rajkot district and Una of Gir Somnath district on Thursday night. According to police, five accused in the Pardi murder case had been arrested soon after the crime on Friday.
Accused Deepak Parmar (28), Dileep Parmar (26), Amit Parmar (27), Kailash Parmar (29) and Kishor Parmar (25), had bludgeoned 25-year-old Mitesh Jadav to death with stones in Pardi.
They accused told the cops that they had an altercation with Yadav over an issue of driving and as a result of the argument killed him.
Jadav was recently acquitted by a court in the murder case of Ankit Parmar, the history-sheeter of Jetpur.
“Jadav was driving his two-wheeler, while the accused were in their car. After the altercation, Jadav went to Pardi. However, the accused followed him to Pardi, thrashed him before bludgeoning him to death,” said Kuldeepsinh Gohil, sub-inspector with Shapar-Veraval police station.
In the Una case, accused Aizaz Dal, Riyaz Chauhan and Wasim Memon, clubbed one Gulabshah Shahmadar (54) to death in fort locality over old enmity.
“The accused had nursed a grudge against Shahmadar over an issue of firing during the Tazia procession of Moharram, when the victim had picked a fight with the accused,” said an official from Una police station.
Shahmadar’s son Taufiq Shah was also injured in the attack. The accused have been booked on the complaint of Shah and cops have a launched a hunt to nab the accused.
