Kerala: Four new Covid-19 cases reported in Thiruvananthapuram

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Four new Covid-19 positive cases were reported in the district on Sunday. Two of the confirmed cases are women - a 54-year-old woman who arrived from Kuwait on May 27 at Nedumbaserry and a 40-year-old woman who arrived from Kuwait on May 28. Both women hail from Kattakada.
A 42-year-old man who arrived from Kuwait on May 30 was also tested positive for Covid-19 on Sunday. He is a resident of Alamcode, Karavaram.

The authorities have begun contact tracing in the case of a 33-year-old painting laborer who is a resident of Anadu. He was admitted to Nedumangadu district hospital on May 28 due to severe vomiting. He had boozed with three of his friends on May 28 and had been to Tamilnadu on May 27. Since the authorities suspected of Covid-19 infection he was shifted to Medical College hospital. Steps have been taken to find out the source of infection and to isolate the primary and secondary contacts.
