VADODARA: Three persons of a family were killed and another member was injured in a gruesome road accident in
Dahod district.

Sonu and his brother
Sanjay were going to work on January 19 on a single bike at Ghoghamba taluka when a truck knocked them down and dragged their vehicle for a few metres. Police said that Ramshu, Poorna and Sanjay, all natives of Jhabua district in Madhya Pradesh, work in a brick kiln.
When they were passing by
Sangedi village in
Devgadh Bariya taluka, a truck coming from the opposite side, knocked them down.
Eye-witnesses told police that all four riders were flung in the air and even after the collision, the truck driver kept driving his vehicle for a few metres. The bike was stuck under the truck due to which it was dragged.
Ramshu, Poorna and Sonu died on the spot while Sanjay lay unconscious. He was rushed to a nearby health centre where he is recuperating.
An offence of causing death due to negligence and rash driving was registered at Devgadh Bariya police station against the unidentified truck driver. Cops said that the driver escaped unhurt in the accident and fled from the spot.
