Andhra Pradesh: Fire breaks out in container yard near Vizag International Airport

VISAKHAPATNAM: A fire broke out in the container yard close to Vizag International Airport on Monday afternoon.
As per preliminary information, the fire incident happened in one of the containers in the yard.
A hazardous chemical called Aluminum Fluoride caught fire in a container yard gutting it completely.

The loss of property in the incident was estimated to be around Rs 10 lakh. The cause of the accident is yet to be ascertained.
District fire officer Ram Prakash told TOI that they doused the fire with two fire tenders."Our men successfully doused the fire within one hour and it was confined to only one container as we arrested the fire," the fire department officer said.
