The movie Marvel fans have been waiting for over a decade to see - Scarlett Johansson's 'Black Widow', almost arrived at theatres, only to be postponed indefinitely due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. The origins flick that aims at shedding light on Natasha Romanoff's past has a lot in store for fans and is sure to leave a long trail of breadcrumbs for phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Although fans may have to wait a tad longer, there are plenty of theories floating around online to keep people entertained, some that we spotted were so good, there is a possibility they may be true.

​Natasha may actually be alive

With the way Natasha Romanoff met her ended in 'Avenger: Endgame', many Black Widow fans have been hoping beyond hope that there may just be a twist to the plot. Considering Marvel's track record of bringing back characters from the dead, this one is not highly unlikely. While many pinned their hope on Steve Rogers, aka Captain America to return the Soul Stone and bring back Natasha. There are also those leaked set photos that show Scarlett in her 'Endgame' avatar, hinting at a return of sorts if not a possible "clone" coming into the play.

The 'Black Widow' trailer hinted at a big fat family reunion. But, according to a fan-theory, with so many characters of Russian assassins and spies involved, it is only a matter of time before one turns on the other. For now, all fingers are pointed at Rachel Weisz' Iron Maiden, who plays a motherly figure to Scarlett's Natasha and Florence's Yelena.

Iron Man fans are already to see their favourite superhero make his comeback to the big screen in 'Black Widow'. Fan theories suggest that while the movie is set in the past, we may get to see some more superhero cameos, mainly Hawkeye and maybe even the Winter Soldier.

Although Natasha Romanoff played an integral part of the Avengers team, she had very few lines. One of those lines was an interaction with Clint Barton where she said that they remembered the showdown in Budapest "very differently". With the film now set in the said location, fans wonder if there will be a flashback to detail what really went down.

Talking about flashbacks, many even seem to believe Bucky Barnes aka the Winter Soldier could also make a cameo.

There has been a lot of speculation on what the next phase of the MCU will actually contain and the 'Black Widow' trailer may have just dropped a hint. The clip gave us a look at Thunderbolt Ross and also gave us a glimpse of Natasha Romanoff holding a case of what may be Black Widow serum. Going by fan theories the General could just end up getting his hands on the serum, thus paving the way for the Red Hulk as he puts together his team of anti-heroes to help save the world. Marvel bosses even admitted that 'The Thunderbolts' was in the early stages of development. Could this film provide the launchpad for this new brand of heroes that could see Deadpool, Ghost Rider and the Punisher team up?
