Ayushmann Khurrana and
Parineeti Chopra had teamed up for the first time in 2017 for Akshay Roy's romantic comedy '
Meri Pyaari Bindu'. The film which revolved around friendship and love might have failed to excel at the box office but it surely is 'special' to the actors.
The film completed 3 years today and the National Award winning actor took to Instagram to pour his heart out along with a few throwback pictures.
He wrote, "Abhimanyu Bubla Roy was just like me. He loved old songs, was a compulsive writer and a sucker for nostalgia. The box office didn’t pamper this gem but this film will always be special. This was clicked at St Xaviers college in the summers of 2016. We witnessed kaal baisaakhi the next day. 🌧 It was my first. And I fell in love with Calcutta. Dhonobaad for all the love. 🧡 तीन साल हो गए #MeriPyaariBindu"
Ayushmann's then co-star Parineeti Chopra also shared a series of pictures and videos of the fun times the entire cast and crew had on the sets of the film. She captioned these as "Its been 3 years, but the climax of this film still gives me heartache. I can’t listen to my own song #MaanaKiHumYaarNahi without my stomach doing a flip. If you have ever experienced a broken heart, well then, this film...🙃🧡 #MeriPyaariBindu did not get love at the BO, but its the most special film. Kolkata, the 90s, dost, baarish aur music. Sigh.... ... @ayushmannk @yrf @sachinjigar @suprotimsengupta #AkshayRoy #ManeeshSharma @tusharkantiray"
Parineeti is all set to step into the shoes of ace Badminton player
Saina Nehwal in her biopic which is helmed by
Amole Gupte. Apart from that, the talented actress also has the Hindi remake of 'The Girl on the Train' in her kitty. Meanwhile, on the other hand, Ayushmann will soon be seen alongside
Amitabh Bachchan in
Shoojit Sircar's 'Gulabo Sitabo'.
