Ajay Devgn is following his father, celebrated stunt director
Veeru Devgan, as he choreographed the action scenes for his next film. According to a news portal, Ajay was called the shots for two elaborate fight scenes for ‘
Bhuj: The Pride of India’, which involved him and
Sanjay Dutt. South stunt coordinator Peter Hein, who is working on this project, was reportedly unavailable and Ajay Devgn took on the responsibility.
‘Bhuj: The Pride of India’ is directed by Abhishek Dudhaiya and is set against the backdrop of 1971 Indo-Pakistan war. The film will feature Ajay Devgn in the lead role of Indian Air Force (IAF) squadron leader Vijay Karnik, who was in charge of the Bhuj airbase and had reconstructed the same with the help of local women.
Apart from Ajay Devgn, ‘Bhuj: The Pride of India’ also features Sanjay Dutt,
Sonakshi Sinha, Nora Fatehi,
Sharad Kelkar and Ammy Virk. The film was announced for release on August 14. However with all film releases being postponed, the the makers are yet to announce a new release date for this war drama.
