Anita Raaj recently hit headlines when a complaint was filed against her for allegedly hosting a party amidst lockdown. Clearing the air on the same, the actress shared on Instagram, “There’s a terrible false rumour going on Whatsapp, which has sadly been converted into news – that I have hosted a party at my residence, and was also walking on Pali Hill during the National Lockdown.Our building is under police quarantine since almost 13 days (impossible to enter or leave) and I haven’t stepped out of the building. Groceries & essentials are being brilliantly delivered with no reason for anyone to step out of their home! Let’s all contribute valuable and authentic information at times like this.”

Cops had reportedly landed at Anita’s residence after they received a complaint about her hosting a party amidst the lockdown. Speaking to Mumbai Mirror, the actress had stated that it was amedical emergency, “The fact is my husband is a doctor. One of his friends had a medical emergency, so he came with his wife, who provided assistance. My husband couldn’t refuse on humanitarian grounds. The cops came on a false complaint. After checking the situation, they apologised."
Anita and her husband were reportedly caught on camera in a heated conversation with their building watchman.
