Arbaaz Khan on divorce with Malaika Arora: It had come to a point where this was the only way

Actor-filmmaker Arbaaz Khan opened up about his divorce with Malaika Arora and also spoke about their son’s custody. The duo called it quits two years ago, officially ending a marriage that lasted for almost two decades.
The actor-filmmaker mentioned that was a “difficult but necessary step” with their child in the picture. “It had come to a point where this was the only way to go about it to make this equation as okay as possible,” Arbaaz said during an interview with a news website.He recalled how their son vaguely understood what was happening, as he was 12 at the time and mentioned that he was quite aware of their situation. “I am there for him. She (Malaika) has the custody of my child and didn’t want to even fight for custody because I felt when the child is younger, he needs his mother,” he reportedly said, adding, “Now he will soon be 18, and he will make up his mind where he wants to be.”
Malaika is currently dating Arjun Kapoor, and rumours of their wedding make headlines every now and then.
