Today, sources from the investigative agency confirmed, "Deepika Padukone has acknowledged the summons and has submitted to joining the investigation on Saturday."
Seeking legal advice, Deepika reportedly had a video meeting with her army of lawyers, the conference was also reportedly attended by her husband Ranveer Singh. Deepika’s name had emerged in the controversy after several “drug chats” came under the NCB’s scrutiny. According to Times Now, initials of five celebrities, namely – K, D, S, N, and J were revealed in the chats wherein ‘D’ has been allegedly identified as Deepika Padukone while 'K' was her manager Karishma Prakash, who was also summoned by the NCB.
Apart from Deepika Padukone, the NCB has also issued summons to Sara Ali Khan,
Rakul Preet Singh and Shraddha Kapoor. Rakul will reportedly record her statement with the NCB tomorrow, while
Shraddha Kapoor and Sara Ali Khan have been asked to appear before the NCB on September 26.
