Exclusive! ‘Love Aaj Kal’ actors Sara Ali Khan and Kartik Aaryan share their experience of working with Imtiaz Ali

Bollywood actors Sara Ali Khan and Kartik Aaryan are the most loved actors from this generation of actors. Both of them enjoy a crazy fandom and create fan frenzy wherever they go. The duo is currently all gearing up for their upcoming film ‘Love Aaj Kal’ and they are leaving no stone unturned to promote the Imtiaz Ali directorial.
Recently, in an exclusive conversation with ETimes, the alleged ex-flames spoke at length about their reaction when they were approached for ‘Love Aaj Kal’.‘SarTik’ as they are popularly called, even spoke about their experiences of working with an ace director like Imtiaz.
Sharing his thoughts, Kartik said, “This is like a dream. I mean, I enjoyed this film to another level. I think I've really learned a lot from him. I really relished every single moment of being, from starting those preps to workshops to reading sessions to body language classes to every single detail. Till today, you know, finally going on set to promoting the film and reliving those moments, everything has just been such an experience. I've never, I never imagined that it would be so much fun. And so much of a learning process for me as an actor and as a person. I've learned a lot from Imtiaz Ali sir. So he's been my favourite director and I wanted to work with him. And he's really given me the opportunity to actually portray two different characters which I've never actually gotten the opportunity to portray before this and this is something I'm doing out of my comfort zone, and I just want audiences to accept me in this zone as well. And let's see how it goes.”

Further Sara too said that she couldn’t believe that she has been approached for a Imtiaz Ali film. “First 10 emotions I felt were disbelief as I couldn’t believe that Imtiaz Sir had come to me with a romantic film. Once that settled down, there was a lot of excitement. I think then there was gratitude when I actually understood what exactly he is asking from me, which is to portray, I think, a very relevant and very relatable concept. Love is something that we all discuss. It's something that we all talk about. It's something that everybody can relate to. I think that this film is similar to the first film, in that it talks about the differences and similarities between the love in the past and love today and how maybe the language of expressing love has changed.”
