Exclusive! “Mehr is an extension of my wife more than me”, says Angad Bedi who feels Neha Dhupia has raised her in the most passionate way
Angad Bedi, who has proved his mettle in Bollywood with films like, ‘Soorma’, ‘Pink’ and others, has been making the most of being a father to his adorable daughter Mehr. The actor has been taking care of her little angel at home while his wife Neha Dhupia works from home due to lockdown. In an exclusive interview with ETimes, the actor showered praise on his better-half who according to him has raised Mehr in the most passionate way.

When asked how his wife Neha Dhupia is as a mother to their little angel Mehr, Angad Bedi just couldn’t stop gushing about his better-half. He said, “Neha is a brilliant mother. She has raised Mehr in the most passionate way. I feel that Mehr is an extension of Neha more than me. Neha has put in a lot of effort from the time she has been carrying Mehr in her womb to her delivery to looking after her to taking Mehr along whenever she is shooting out. She tries to spend maximum time with her. Right now, I can see that even though Mehr is only 16- months-old but the words she has picked up and the emotions, it is all because of my wife.”

In an earlier interview with a news portal, Angad had revealed that he is comfortable doing all the daddy stuff because in his childhood he has seen his father taking all such responsibilities with ease. However, the actor also stated that there is no way men can beat women in that. “I feel women are the only people in this world who can multitask. And they are brilliant at it. If we can learn anything, it is from women themselves. Be it, new mothers or mothers, with grown-up children, they don’t need tips. It is in their DNA. They know what they need to do and I think we should respect that and admire. Courage that a mother has, I don’t think anybody else has. Women can give birth and men don’t so they are obviously higher species than men.”

On the work front, Angad will next be seen in ‘Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl’ which stars Janhvi Kapoor in the lead role. The movie also features Pankaj Tripathi in a key role.
