Raj revealed that they were set to shoot for Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt starrer ‘Brahmastra’ before the lockdown. He shared, “We were to shoot a song for ‘Brahmastra’ with a lot of dancers, so that loss is there as the song was never shot. I don’t know when it will be shot now and how it will be done because that song had a lot of dancers.” Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions, the producers of ‘Brahmastra’, have also extended aid to their team of dancers. There are a few other Bollywood actors too who are in the process of extending financial aid to their team of 800 background dancers.

Due to the lockdown, several dancers have left Mumbai and headed to their hometowns. “Dancers will probably be the last ones to get jobs because people may not shoot songs with many people. Probably four-five months more or till the vaccine comes, I don’t think there is any solution currently. Dancers are taking up alternate jobs too. Many of them have travelled to their hometowns. Our industry was closed from March 19, before the lockdown was announced. So we told them to go to their native place. People are going now too as it is difficult to survive here, pay rent,” concluded Raj.
