Exclusive! Suniel Shetty on Ahan’s Bollywood debut: If Ahan works hard and luck is on his side, nothing can stop him

Suniel Shetty is one proud father as his daughter Athiya is on her way to earning a name in Bollywood and son Ahan is all set to get a big launch with the Hindi remake of Telugu hit ‘RX100’. Ahan has been paired opposite ‘Student of the Year 2’ actress Tara Sutaria in the romantic thriller.

In an exclusive conversation with ETimes, Suniel Shetty revealed that he always wanted his son to be launched by Sajid Nadiadwala, who is bankrolling the remake of RX100’.“I think I am the one who cared till the time he was in the right hands. I was very clear and Ahan was very clear that his dream would be a Sajid Nadiadwala. Because he has held my hands when I first started but I am seeing the way he is holding Tiger’s hand. A mentor is the one who believes that even if his child falls the first time he will hold him and that is what Sajid Nadiadwala is. A Nadiadwala Grandson Production, a Sajid Nadiadwala film produced by Wardha and Sajid Nadiadwala distributed and presented by vice versa by Fox, Milan Luthria director, Rajat Arora writer, Pritam the music director, Tara Sutaria the little girl who is already a star as his first co-star, if Ahan works hard and luck is on his side, nothing can stop him.”
Ahan is already a popular name on social media and Suniel Shetty is hopeful that after the release of his debut film fans will start recognizing him for his talent. “The beauty is it is not a film where people are going to see how good looking Ahan Shetty is. Whether he can fight like Bruce Lee or Stallone it isn’t that film, it is not about how well he is dressed, it is about can he perform? It is a true story. It is about a boy who died when he was 23. Is it going to touch the hearts of the people and that is what I am happy about. Armani suits actor that this should be my boy friend, this should be my husband, this should be my father. The script is the hero of my film.”
Suniel Shetty has handed over the responsibility of his son’s debut to Sajid Nadiadwala and is now simply awaiting the film's release. “I don’t even know what is going on. I call Sajid Bhai less than what I used to earlier. I don’t want him to get the feeling that is I interfering or asking questions, that I am not going to like it, this is not required,” concluded the actor.
