Kangana Ranaut’s sister Rangoli slams Deepika Padukone’s JNU visit: We should respect Deepika, only PR kiya JNU mein

Deepika Padukone visited Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) yesterday and stood in solidarity with the students who were protesting against the violence at the campus. The actress was lauded by several Bollywood celebrities who her for taking a stand extending support to the students. Celebrities like Anurag Kashyap, Pooja Bhatt, Anubhav Sinha, Richa Chadha, Lisa Ray, Vishal Dadlani and Sudhir Mishra praised her act on social media.

However, Kangana Ranaut’s sister Rangoli Chandel tagged Deepika’s move as an act of publicity.
With Deepika starrer ‘Chhapaak’ set to hit the screens this Friday, Rangoli said that this was Deepika’s prerogative to promote the film. Rangoli also went on to question if Deepika has ever taken a stand on any issues. Rangoli added that she was happy Deepika expressed her support openly but also quipped that the actress has simply done PR at JNU.

Earlier today, Rangoli had posted a video of Kangana Ranaut wherein the actress thanked Deepika and Meghna Gulzar for making a film on acid attack survivors and for throwing light on the subject. Rangoli had also thanked the team of 'Chhapaak' for telling 'a story that needs to be told'.
