Kartik Aaryan 'respects' Deepika Padukone for taking stand with JNU students

Yesterday, Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone visited the Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) to extend her support to the students protesting against the violence at the campus. She was seen standing with students, including students' union president Aishe Ghosh, who were attacked on Sunday evening.

Yesterday, Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone visited the Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) to extend her support to the students protesting against the violence at the campus. She was seen standing with students, including students' union president Aishe Ghosh, who were attacked on Sunday evening.
Soon after her pictures from the venue came out, the actress was lauded by the netizens and celebs from the fraternity.
Director Anurag Kashyap even changed his Twitter profile and cover picture to Deepika’s picture from JNU. Now, actor Kartik Aaryan has come forward and joined the bandwagon to praise DP.
In a recent interview with a digital portal, Kartik said that he respects Deepika for what she did and he hopes a lot of people stand up and talk about it. He also said that strict actions are needed and the way things are taking place, this is not our country. The ‘Pati Patni Aur Woh’ actor also said that he saw the video and the way goons entered the campus and attack them. He just thinks it is a really bad atmosphere right now and it is necessary to take action.
For the uninitiated, Violence broke out at JNU on Sunday evening as masked men armed with sticks and rods attacked students and teachers and damaged property on the campus, prompting the administration to call in police which conducted a flag march.
