Patna cop says Rhea Chakraborty ‘not absconding’, to reach out to her ‘if required’

Since Sushant Singh Rajput’s father, KK Singh filed an FIR against Rhea Chakraborty, making various allegations against her, including ‘abetment to suicide’, many reports alleging that the actress was ‘absconding’ surfaced online. In the latest report, it has come to light that contrary to claims, the actress was ‘not absconding’.
In a report on Mid-Day, Vinay Tiwari, Central Patna SP dismissed the claims stating that the Bihar Police were “are not even trying to trace Miss Chakraborty.”
Stating that preliminary enquiry is underway, Tiwari said that there are certain basic facts that are being investigated, which will decide their forward course of action.

Claiming that “as, when and if required,” the Bihar team will reach out to her.
The current investigation being carried out by the Bihar Special Investigation Team (SIT) is independent of the one being conducted by the Mumbai Police.
Reports on Wednesday stated that the four-member police team from Patna arrived in Mumbai to investigate the claims made in the FIR by the late actor's father Krishna Kumar Singh. However, when the team reached Rhea's residence, they reportedly did not find her there.

Patna's Rajiv Nagar police station in-charge Yogendra Ravidas on Tuesday earlier said Sushant Singh Rajput's father KK Singh has accused six people, including Chakraborty for abetment to suicide in his complaint (FIR number 241/20).
"Rhea Chakraborty and five other persons have been charged under Sections 340, 341, 380, 406, 420 and 306 of IPC after Sushant Singh Rajput's father filed an FIR against them. Further investigation is going on in the case," Sanjay Kumar, IG Patna Central Zone, told reporters in Patna.

On the personal front, Rhea with her legal council has moved the Supreme Court to have the FIR transferred to Mumbai.
The actress made headlines on the one-month death aniversary of Sushant Singh Rajput, tagged BJP leader Amit Shah, asking for a CBI enquiry into the case to 'understand what pressures prompted Sushant to take this step'.
