Bollywood lost one of its most iconic actresses,
Sridevi, on February 24, 2018. Her sudden demise shocked the entire industry and unfortunately she couldn’t witness her daughter Janhvi Kapoor’s big Bollywood debut. On the eve of her first death anniversary,
Janhvi Kapoor had posted an emotional note on social media, remembering her mother. “My heart will always be heavy. But I’ll always be smiling because it has you in it,” Janhvi had shared.
On the even of her second death anniversary, here’s an endearing glimpse of Sridevi’s family album, which she had lovingly shared on social media with her followers:
In an interview with Filmfare last year, Janhvi had stated that she had no memory of three or four months.
Arjun and Anshula Kapoor had strongly supported the family during that phase, speaking about the same Janhvi had stated, “You know at the end of the day, we have the same blood in us. I don’t remember anything of those four months but I do remember that one day when we were sitting in Harsh (Harshvardhan Kapoor) bhaiya’s room and Arjun bhaiya and Anshula didi came in, I think that was the one day when I felt like, ‘Ok maybe we might be okay.” Janhvi went on to mark her debut opposite Ishaan Khatter in ‘Dhadak’ and now has a good number of films in her kitty.
Janhvi will soon be seen playing the titular role in ‘Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl’. Post which she has ‘Dostana 2’ alongside
Kartik Aaryan, ‘RoohiAfza’ with Rajkummar Rao and
Karan Johar’s magnum opus ‘Takht’. While Khushi had taken off to New York for further studies.
