Veteran choreographer Saroj Khan, who was admitted to a hospital in Mumbai on June 20 after she complained of breathing issues, passed away today. She passed away due to cardiac arrest. The last rites of 71-year-old choreographer were performed at Malvani in Malad today.
Bollywood celebs like Akshay Kumar, Madhuri Dixit, Amitabh Bachchan, Tiger Shroff, Shilpa Shetty Kundra, Varun Dhawan and others, and her fans have taken to their social media handles to mourn Masterji’s demise.

Amongst everyone, actress Anushka Sharma has taken to her Twitter account to mourn the demise of Masterji. She went on to call her an ‘institution’. Her tweet read, “Saroj ji was an institution in herself. She has inspired so many choreographers, dancers, actors and directors to reach excellence in their work with her own gift of genius. Her art and legacy will live on forever. My deepest condolences to her family, friends and fans 🙏” Have a look:

Madhuri, who shared a close bond with Saroj Khan and they had collaborated on several hit songs, is devastated by the news. Remembering the ace choreographer, Madhuri shared on Twitter, “I’m devastated by the loss of my friend and guru, Saroj Khan. Will always be grateful for her work in helping me reach my full potential in dance. The world has lost an amazingly talented person. I will miss you💔 My sincere condolences to the family. #RIPSarojji”.

Meanwhile on the work front, she last worked with Kangana Ranaut in ‘Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi’ and Madhuri, Alia Bhatt and Sonakshi Sinha in ‘Kalank’.
