Shantipriya clarifies on Akshay Kumar's comment about her skin tone; says, "he didn't mean to hurt or distress me"

Akshay Kumar's 'Saugandh' co-star recently opened up about an incident that took place during the shoot of their film. The actress recalled that she had to wear short clothes because it was the requirement of the film and Akshay had commented on her skin tone. She said that Akki joked about her knees darker than usual.

Akshay Kumar's 'Saugandh' co-star recently opened up about an incident that took place during the shoot of their film. The actress recalled that she had to wear short clothes because it was the requirement of the film and Akshay had commented on her skin tone. She said that Akki joked about her knees darker than usual.
Talking to Navbharat Times, she had said, "Even though it was a joke, I felt quite uncomfortable.
The incident remained in the depths of my mind and I cried a lot over it but never applied any fairness cream on my face."
Now, the actress clarified her statement and stated that Akshay didn't mean to hurt her. Taking to Twitter, she wrote, "I want to make it clear, making those comments were @akshaykumar's way of being playful with me. Even though his comments stayed with me for a while, I believe he didn't mean to hurt me or cause me distress. I adore all of his work and wish him love & luck for his future!"
