Vikas Singh, the lawyer of Sushant Singh Rajput's father KK Singh, has alleged an “obstruction” in the probe into the death of the late actor. After slamming the BMC’s decision to quarantine Bihar IPS officer Vinay Tiwari, the lawyer, in his latest statement to Times Now, accused the Mumbai Police for “compromising” the probe.
Revealing the decision behind KK Singh’s decision to file his FIR with the Patna Police instead of the Mumbai Police, Vikas said, “Sushant’s father has always wanted an investigation by the Patna Police for two reasons.
Firstly, he lives in Patna and Patna definitely has jurisdiction and he felt that they (Patna police) will do a very good job. But the way the Mumbai police has obstructed the Patna Police from investigating the matter, given no cooperation whatsoever and this latest quarantine that they have done is something unheard of that an investigating officer is asked to quarantine.”

He went on to allege, “So virtually you will compromise right? If tomorrow there is a GST raid or Income Tax raid or a CBI raid, or an ED raid and if the state police behave like this, then ultimately the beneficiary is the accused.”

Claiming that the developments in the case have “disturbed the family” he claimed that the family is now left with no other option than to refer the matter to the CBI. Early Tuesday morning, it was reported that Sushant’s father requested the CM of Bihar to forward the matter to the CBI and the investigations should be started at the earliest.
Speaking up about the alert SSR’s father gave the Mumbai police back in February, he said, “There was a Whatsapp complaint earlier on 25 February. Now the police is saying that they wanted a written report. If we had given them a written report after the death, the whole case would have gone the other way. So I am glad we didn’t give any written report to them and waited and watched how they are going to take the probe.”

He went on to add, “Virtually they have compromised the probe right from the beginning. Because the main accused in this case has been treated like the complainant and the case is going in the direction she wants it to go. So it is a very disturbing case according to the family. So the only way we feel like we can get justice now in these changed circumstances is by a proper investigation.
In his statement to ANI, Vikas alleged that the Mumbai police was trying to buy time to “destroy evidence”.

“Basically, Mumbai Police is buying time to ensure that the evidence gets destroyed. So we decided that this matter should be given to CBI and Nitish Kumar had earlier promised that if the father wants a CBI probe, it will be handed it over to CBI,” said Vikas Singh.
