Abhishek Bachchan recently completed 20 glorious years in
Bollywood. While he has been a part of many hit films in his career, his film, ‘
Run’ did not work at the box-office but received appreciation for its action and comic sequences.
Reminiscing the time when he was offered the film by
Sridevi and
Boney Kapoor in an interview with Zoom, Abhishek Bachchan reportedly said that Sridevi showed him the
Tamil version of the movie which starred
R Madhavan.
Being one of her greatest fans, Abhishek revealed that he was excited to sit beside her and watch the film.
Elaborating on the same, he revealed that one of the scenes in the movie was similar to that of his father
Amitabh Bachchan’s 1975 blockbuster hit film, ‘
Deewar’. And when that scene happened, Abhishek felt like it was an ode to his father in ‘Deewar’ and he gave his nod for the film.
‘Run’ also starred
Bhumika Chawla, Vijay Raaz, and others in key roles. The movie was released in 2004 and received a mixed response from the audience.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Abhishek was last seen in ‘Manmarziyaan’ which also starred Taapsee Pannu and Vicky Kaushal in the lead roles. The Anurag Kashyap directorial received positive reviews from the audience and the critics alike.
Abhishek recently completed 20 years in Bollywood. He made his big Bollywood debut opposite Kareena Kapoor Khan in JP Dutta’s ‘Refugee’.
