Zaira Wasim molestation case: Kangana Ranaut’s sister Rangoli Chandel hails the actress for her fight against harassment, calls her 'Bharat Ki Beti'

A 41-year-old man was convicted on Wednesday and sentenced to serve jail time by a Mumbai special court here for molesting actress Zaira Wasim in a Delhi-Mumbai flight in December 2017.

Vikas Sachdeva has been given a three-year prison sentence by the court. He was booked under Section 8 of the POCSO Act and Section 354 of the Indian Penal Code.
Now post the judgement, Kangana Ranaut’s sister Rangoli Chandel, who is quite active on social media, has taken to her Twitter account and hailed Zaira for fighting throughout.
Her tweet read, "Vry proud f Zaira who went through so much hassle to fight the case also the trauma f being subjected to teasing scrutiny & above all prejudices all victims face...bt hats off to her at such a tender age she hs lots f fire in her #Bharatkibeti #NewIndia"

Back then in 2017, Zaira mentioned that she was molested by Vikas while in a flight from Delhi to Mumbai. She also added that she had informed the staff in the flight about the incident. But, the flight staff did not help. ‘The Sky is Pink’ actress also accused him of constantly rubbing against her when she was trying to sleep on the flight.
While the man said in his defence that he was trying to sleep on the flight and that the actress mistook it for molestation.
