Gorgeous Sai Pallavi is the only actress in Forbes India's '30 under 30' list

Forbes India has released its seventh annual list of '30 Under 30’, a list featuring the 30 most promising entrepreneurs, professionals, performers, artists and disruptors across India who are under the age of 30. Under the entertainment category, popular South Indian actress Sai Pallavi and YouTube sensation Bhuvan Bam have sealed a spot in the elite group.
The gorgeous gal from Chennai is the only actress to feature in the list.Reacting on the achievement, she took to her social handle and wrote “I’m humbled and honoured to be listed in Forbes 30 Under 30 !”
In 2019, Sai Pallavi was among the headlines for turning down a Rs 2 crore proposal to feature in a fairness cream commercial. Acknowledging the same during an interview, she said “What am I going to do with the money I get from such an ad? I’ll go home and eat three chapatis or rice. I don’t have any other big needs. I see whether I can contribute to the happiness of people around me or I can say that the standards we have are wrong. This is the Indian colour. We can’t go to foreigners and ask them why they’re white, and if they know that they will get cancer because of it. That’s their skin colour and this is ours.”
Reportedly, she also refused to be a part of a leading clothing brand endorsement which has offered her Rs 1 crore paycheck.
In less than five years since her impressive debut in Premam, Pallavi created a niche for herself in South cinema by portraying author-backed roles in content-driven films. Surprising everyone by taking a long break from films to pursue her MBBS, she returned to the glamour arena with Sekhar Kammula’s Telugu film Fidaa in 2017 and bagged glowing praises for her brilliant portrayal as Bhanumati.
Besides romancing Naga Chaitanya in Love Story, the 27-year-old diva is essaying the role of a jilted lover in Venu Udugula’s period-drama Virata Parvam 1992 starring Rana Daggubati, Nandita Das and Priyamani in prominent roles.
