IIT Ropar launches New-Age multidimensional certificate programs in Data Science

PATIALA: IIT Ropar with the Canada-India Centre for Excellence (CICE), Canada at Carleton University and International School of Engineering (INSOFE) has launched Post Graduate Program (PGP) in Data Science for Senior and Middle Management roles and for top executives in-charge of Profit & Loss or innovation with a focus on teaching frameworks that help the senior leaders define the AI blueprint, people strategy, infrastructure strategy, data strategy etc.The launch of these executive training programs took place in the august presence of H. E. Mia Yen, Consul-General of Canada to Chandigarh among other dignitaries.
The course for senior Management Executives is of 10 months (weekend classes) that enables to implement a chosen research publication under the guidance of world-class faculty and present it as a full-fledged thesis to a panel in collaboration with the Indo-Taiwan Joint Research Centre on AI and ML at IIT Ropar and the Canada-India Centre for Excellence (CICE), Canada at Carleton University.
For Middle management teams there is a three month program, called as an Advanced Certificate Program in Data Science that is a uniquely designed to lead Data Science teams for Management roles. This three-month program helps organizations adopt the latest technologies of Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and Data Science.
Both the programs offer guidance from world-class instructors from IIT Ropar. INSOFE India, and Carleton University and Industry - Canada. The students can leverage strong programming skills in AI and relevant management skills for demanding new-age careers. Hands-on skill development through intensive Bootcamps will be provided. There will also be closely monitored guidance from the thesis scholars. Skill enhancement through deep-dive classes and a full-scale thesis submission will pave the way for the triple certification.
H. E. Madam Yen appreciated the key role played by IIT Ropar in forging academic alliances with Canadian higher education institutes. She felt that there are several key areas where the two countries can collaoborate with IIT Ropar playing a pivotal role.
